Here's a little more on Kathlyn by way of introduction as this year's Cul Camp Administrator:
Hi everyone, my name is Kathlyn Quinn and I will be running the Cúl Camp for the San Francisco GAA this year.
Just wanted to give you an idea of who I am and some of my background in the GAA. I am from Co. Galway and have a degree in Health Leisure and Fitness Studies. I have been a member of my local GAA club, Dunmore McHales, for the past 14 years, and have won Galway county titles in Junior and Intermediate football.
I have represented Galway in Junior Football for the last three years and won a Connaught medal in 2010 right before I moved to San Francisco. I played my college football with IT Tralee and also represented the college in soccer and rugby. After completing my degree I worked for the Galway County Board as a GAA development coach responsible for running summer camps, coaching and promoting the games in local schools and clubs, and also coaching the Galway development squads at U-15 and U-17.
I look forward to this new opportunity of working with the San Francisco GAA Cúl Camp, getting to know some of the local youth players and sharing with them my love of our National Games.
Below are the results of this past weekend's competitions in New York. We thank you all for attending one of the biggest CYC's to date. We hope you all had a great time and we look forward to you returning next year to Boston.
This is the first in a series of How To video instructions on Gaelic Football and Hurling. Be sure to review the entire video, practice, and we'll see you on Saturday!
